In the world of translation, the rates are normally calculated by taking into account the number of words in the source text that will be translated/reviewed, as well as the combination of languages, the field of speciality and the format of the source text. In most cases, I don’t charge extra for formatting, but if the document has special formatting requirements or needs heavy formatting work, I usually just charge a flat fee for formatting. Be assured that you will be offered competitive pricing. Moreover, confidentiality is one of the top concerns of AMC Translation. Because of that, every project is bound by strict confidentiality agreements that we can personalize if needed.
Pricing Factors
Content: As may be expected, some subjects are more difficult to translate than others. This includes not only the vocabulary but also the level and complexity of writing. For example, a financial report would be considerably more complicated than general business correspondence.
Deadline: Anything more than 2500 words in a 24-hour period is considered a rush job.
File format: If the source document cannot be edited (such as a scanned PDF file or image), the translation process will take longer. Hence, the rates will change.
Currency: I can bill in USD, EUR, or MXN. My preferred methods of payment are TransferWise, Payoneer and PayPal, for international remittances.
Billing unit: I can charge on a per-project (which will be based on an estimated word count), per-word (target) or per-word (source) basis.
Rates for other services
For projects regarding localization. revising, proofreading, MTPE, transcription or other specialized services please contact me in advance. Each of these services falls into different pricing categories and the rates will change depending on the project.

Minimum charge: There is a $30 USD minimum charge for small jobs.
